An Inspector Calls at New Wimbledon Theatre — Review
Stephen Daldry's landmark revival closes its UK tour at New Wimbledon Theatre with a visually striking, powerful and emotionally engaging production.
An Inspector Calls is playing at the New Wimbledon Theatre for the final stop of its UK tour, delivering a visually striking, engaging and enjoyable performance. The cast are strong across the board, with performances that keep the audience locked in from start to finish.
Stephen Daldry's extraordinary production — with its expressionist staging, the eerie house elevated above a rain-soaked cobblestoned street, and the mysterious Inspector who moves between worlds — remains as fresh and politically potent as it ever was. Priestley's indictment of class and privilege feels more urgent than ever.
Essential theatre. A landmark production that endures.
